This hammered bathroom copper sink is a beautiful piece of art. It is designed for over-the-counter mounting because its rim is rounded. From a copper sheet the wise artisan hands transform it into this unique piece. The bathroom copper sink you are looking at has a standard 1.5" diameter hole and it does not have an overflow system. The hammer footprint is very visible. The reddish/oxidated texture is characteristic of natural copper when it is cooled down from red-hot temperature using cold water, technique that the coppersmiths use.

It has six embossed grapes bundles evenly distributed along the central part of it, details can be observed in the pictures. This copper sink was made from one sheet of copper, raised with the artist hammer, there are no one welded joints, the grapes bundles are pulled out of the copper sheet itself.

Hammering the red-hot copper is an ancient technique the coppersmiths use, where no sophisticated tools are used, just the furnace to heat the copper and a hammer to give it the shape. We got this bathroom copper sink from the skilled coppersmiths from Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico. The finish is in a dark brownish color. Suitable for your bathroom, it will add a unique home accent making it a very special point of attraction in your bathroom.

This copper sink will not rust or become greenish because the patina will protect it from humidity. The copper sheet is 16 gauge (0.05" thickness).

IMPORTANT NOTE: The patina can be damaged faster if toothpaste stays for long periods of time on the sink surface, because of this, washing it after brushing teeth is recommended.
